Update: The author who wrote the Guardian article has contacted us and states that Ms. Yates did not threaten to kill people should Mr. Wilson not face criminal charges. We also want everyone to know that the Guardian never stated that she did, either.
Ashley Yates, one of the leaders of the protests in Ferguson, where Michael Brown was shot and killed by officer Darren Wilson, has promised death if Wilson does not face criminal charges.
Yates angrily promised today that, “If they (the grand jury) can’t serve justice in this, the people have every right to go out and express their rage in a manner that is equal to what we have suffered (supposed murder).”
Yates fully believes that what their community has suffered is murder. And she promises death back.
She continued, “We’re going to take our anger out on the people who have failed us, and if they are prepared to deal with that, then let them have at it.”
Protesters believe that the people who have “failed them,” if the grand jury comes back without charges, would be the police, the jury members themselves, and prosecutors, among others. Practically anyone that Yates believes has failed the protesters is fair game for violence.
And tonight, the 9th of October, protesters are now burning American flags in the streets.

Hey I am a WHITE female and got stop by white, black and Latino police for certain reason as going 15 miles over speed limit then NO seat belt, crossing over yellow lines because of trying to avoid chuck HOLES in road, but being accused of drinking to much….which i did not have one drink.and stopped because license plate light out, and even stopped just because i looked like i was lost and i wasn’t…. i just show them my id. get a ticked if permissible and pay my fine…NO BIG DEAL…that is their job!!!!! If you have nothing to hide then you should NOT worry! If you have something to hid…Then you should NOT of done it! Esp. cops DO NOT know if you have a gun or not when you come running at them they have a right to defend themselves! It’s the law! I am beyond sick and tired of this. We have laws for reason and its really strange to me there is so much concern over certain problems in the black community and yelling racism when the ones staring everyone in the face is ignored. I believe in the plight of what is going on in Ferguson. I believe that the system sucks. I believe the people in Ferguson and in other cities should be angered for the way the police are over stepping their powers in manners other then to serve and to protect. They are more less serving and protecting themselves instead of their communities. The weapons they have been given give them power to abuse those in the communities they serve. What Ms. Yates is trying to say is that if the police continue with this sort of violence, no person is safe. They are way out of control. It seems several whites think this is a black problem – NO – it’s an American problem that needs to be dealt with. The blacks are simply not afraid to stand up for what’s right – the truth. Well, the truth is that from 2003-2009, according to the DOJ, there were 400 arrest related homicide deaths (of suspects). That is out of an estimated 98 million arrests. That means 99.9998% of arrests did not result in death. So Ms. Yates wants to kill people over something that happens .0002% of the time, actually even less since we must presume law enforcement is right SOME of the time.

Not a little boy playing innocently, he had just robbed a store. I don’t know the details, but, if he was attacking an officer of the law and repeating to charge the officer and was a threat, the officer had the right to subdue him. I doubt using a taser would have been effective on a person of M. Brown’s size and weight.
